Gray or Dark Chocolate stain (Island)?

Hi Designers!

Could you please offer your advice regarding a gray vs. darker chocolate stained island with white cabinets on the perimeter. I noticed that gray is coming back. I love gray, but I don't want to do anything too trendy or modern. Hardware will be a muted gold color.

Also, is there such thing as a darker gray stain not paint?

What color are your floors and counters? Black can be very impactful and feels classic if you are worried about trends. Stain comes in many colors, including grey.

Hi Maureen, The floor will be tiled a faux hardwood or it will be Red Oak. The faux hardwood has some browns, tans, and slight grey.

I'm not a designer, but perhaps a deep grey would suit your flooring, and hopefully your counter and backsplash as well, as they should be considered.
