Laundry Room Help

Hello All,

I have a front loading Washer/Dryer, and wanted to finish the closet. I was thinking a "L" shaped granite counter top above the Washer/Dryer with a small sink on the left side. The issue is the space behind the machines, I want access, but also want it to look good. I appreciate any input, and look forward to your responses. I also plan on Cabinets above, but really looking forward to your counter top solutions.

Are you planning on opening the doorway more, otherwise I think the sink might be impossible to use easily. As far as accessing the area behind while covering it up, having some custom cabinetry built to conceal it might work best.
