Your front door is an important part of curb appeal and a great opportunity to add some color. Instead of glass that would make the door basically disappear, a bright color would add interest and drama and make your house stand out from the neighbors. I think the paint on a front door should be in a satin or gloss finish to stand out even more. A bright blue would look great with the brick and existing paint color of your home.

Is there a house there? I couldn't see it; there's a garage in the way.

Good grief, that automobile storage facility absolutely dominates the structure. I would not do anything with the front door until I got the garage doors under control. They seriously dominate that entire facade. They are blindingly white; I'd paint them in some color that would tone them down, but not the color of the siding (that would be too much cream).

I agree with L.S., above about the glass door--it would look like a big black hole--but I don't think blue would work.
