Hi everyone,

Once again, my Snow Queen costume had to be postponed this year. Instead, I'll be going as The Wicked Witch Of The East. I already had some items for this such as a blouse, silver sparkled skirt, black robe, hat, and the broom (I combined a broomstick I use for walking with the bristle end of a little witch broom I've had for years). I'm also using the shoes I wore for Cruella and Cyndi (the costumes from the past two years) and turning them into The Ruby Slippers! I'm also making my first ever no-sew tulle skirt. I'll be adding some red glitter tulle to it as well. Enjoy the pictures!

Hat. I added the purple fabric and today, I also added some silver glitter tulle. This came from a catalog last year that had it on clearance.

Skirt. Silver and purple glitter tulle around elastic. I have more done on it since this photo was taken. I'm thinking of adding some red glitter tulle to it, as well. Maybe some black glitter tulle, too?
Cape. This was from Rite Aid. I have a larger black cape that I'll be wearing underneath it.

The Ruby Slippers! I need more red sequins (can't find them anywhere downtown).

Stockings (Wal-Mart)

Finally, here's the aforementioned broom :). I'm thinking of adding silver pipe cleaners or silver ribbon around the binding part of the bristles. I tried a piece of silver tulle and it kept getting caught on the bristles.

Now, to just figure out makeup and the jewelry (I saw bat necklaces at Rite Aid-one of which-no pun intended-was purple). Any other input is welcomed!
