I have about 10 oleanders in NW Florida Panhandle that were covered by a picket fence until I removed the fence about two weeks ago. Now the oleanders will benefit from full sun.

I would like to encourage them to be more bushy and full as they provide a nice privacy barrier. Should I prune down 1/3 into the barren cane? If so, will new shoots come off that cane? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
