There is not really any. Once painted you can let it weather and fade. If you want to keep it looking freshly painted then you paint as often as you feel it needs it... You do still need to paint any wooden surface regularly.

Make sure you IAEA good quality masonry paint.

As a brick manufacturer, we love the look of natural brick and its durability. However, if you do decide to paint the brick, please be prepared for increased maintenance. According to The Brick Industry Association, “Most paint authorities agree that, once painted, exterior masonry will require repainting every three to five years.”

I've painted brick inside and out. It looks great. It weathers great, and if some of it shows through the paint after years and years, it can look great on the right house. If the fading paint patina is not the look you're going for, you can re-touch. I don't know why some people make things seem so much more complicated/hard/impossible than they are. I had a painter once tell me he needed to use an oil based primer on brick and he wanted to use a shiny paint or else I'd have all kinds of "problems" and maintenance. ! Nonsense. I live in California, not Minnesota. I used a product called Brick Anew once on my interior fireplace brick, and it looked great. when we moved 9 years later it was still like a new paint job.

I'd love to know the color of the exterior paint if you have it. I'm thinking about using Sherwin Williams Panda White but it might be a little too white. Thanks!

I was viewing photos of this house. I love everything about it. I am especially intrigued by the hardwood floors- We are in the process of installing 5" unfinished red oak (character wood) floors and are undecided on the finish. I am unsure if our wood is the same as this, but the finish on yours is amazing. Can you tell me how you accomplished this? Thanks so much

This is a skip planed floor. Possibly reclaimed. Cut on a band mill as opposed to a circular saw mill. Probably white oak, maybe red. Attached is a picture of my wall sample of a similar floor that I manufacture. Forgive the picture quality, I took it just now with my phone. The stain I used here was a Minwax 50/50 Jacobean/Ebony mix with a satin poly over top.

They are all custom colors.
