Stem looks green and plump. No reason to think it's dead. Give it time. Keep it warm. Hope soil is not too moist.

You'll know when it starts to root because the leaves will start to grow like mad. After that happens keep waiting, and then eventually you should start to see white roots through the sides of the of the bag.
