Running a nursery as a coop

We have an art coop round here and it runs pretty well since many years. How about doing the same as a nursery? I have a very small nursery site in mind, it is in the middle of town in a prime location. The rent is $500 per week.

I think it is bone hard to run a nursery, but if you bundle your efforts you can offer a much more exciting range to a fraction of the costs. I think the main challenge are the winter months. Not that you cannot garden here in winter, but people don't. It is cold but not that much. We have a lot of tourists here, so we could sell garden art as well. However, I think it is not the nursery as such which must survive the winter but every member must have a reasonable income in winter too.

Any thoughts?
