Marble Queen Pothos browning tips

Hi there,

I have a marble queen in a hanging basket about four feet away from a west-facing window, and its leaves have gradually been turning brown. It was in a plastic pot since I bought it three months ago, and though the pot had drainage, I kept noticing the soil was retaining a lot of water and was always damp (even when I only watered it every 10 days or so). I very recently repotted it into a terracotta pot to try and solve this problem, and added a bit more perlite to its soil for drainage. Do you think this could help with the browning leaves problem? Or do you think I should also move it closer to the light? In the three or four months I've had it, I haven't noticed any growth at all... Is this a lack of light problem?

Here is a photo of the edge of one of the leaves. Many of the others have rotted off near the base. The remaining ones are mostly healthy (I've cut it back), but some have a bit of brown on them, like this one. Any advice you can give would be great.

I know pothos are meant to be easy plants, and I also have a Golden pothos, and have never had any problems with it...
