I actually love it! I would choose a different light fixture and door to add the architectural detail.

It isn't a super clear picture, so it's hard to say what really needs work. I would go out and find a light fixture that you love and change that out, then see how you feel. I just bought a bunch of high-end lighting from house of antique hardware, and it was really surprising to see how much of an effect the light fixtures we chose had an effect on the house.

(Also, I have no affiliation with House of Antique Hardware, but I would highly recommend them. They had a much better price and return policy than my local lighting store, and I was able to search their selection by style. I'm a very satisfied customer.)
