Hmmm, I believe it to be one of the many predatory true bugs, but am unwilling to say which based on that image. It looks a bit distorted to me and at an odd angle.

for most of us.. its not really a time for worrying about bugs ... due to the season ...

therefore.. remedial eradication is a waste of time, effort.. and money ...

That's a very good guess, Kim. I think that the angle of the image is thowing off the actual length of the antennae. If that is the case, luv is looking at an enemy rather than a pal.

well i hope someone familiar with TX .... discusses if this type of bug will winter over in your area ... if proactive removal is requisite ...

as i said... it will be dead up here in MI ... inside a few weeks ... so why bother ...

What type of plant is it on? I agree it looks like a true bug, but it would be easier to tell whether it is a pest based on what it might be attacking
