Help for a grocery store mini

I tried to rescue it - but maybe I should have left it or someone who knows ore about mini roses, It was so pretty - a light peach color with outer green petals. There were six plants in the pot. I got some potting soil at KMART - their own brand- instead of Miracle grow, I potted them up last Thursday and have kept them moist, but not soggy. Some of the lower leaves are turning yellow. The tops are still nice and green. The flowers are still looking nice as well. Should I let it dry out more, or is this stress from separating the roots from each other in order to plant.

They are just so lovely I would hate to kill them. They don't seem to have any scent but look like hybrid teas in mini form. The blossom is about an inch wide.

Any help saving the poor things would be greatly appreciated.

I also wanted to let you know that I re-potted them and they are outside in a bright shade on the North side of my house. They do not get any direct sun. I was hoping- or at least I thought- they should start to grow and take off in their new pots before I expose them to direct sun. I am in South Florida.

Give them a few hours of sunlight a day and keep the soil moist(not soggy), they will do better if you plant them in the ground.

Since you separated them it will take a little time for them to recuperate. They may just seem to sit for a while but they'll be growing roots and that's good.

As long as the stems stay green, they'll be OK. You may loose the foliage from stress but if the stems aren't black they should bounce back. I've rescued a bunch of these mini's and haven't lost one yet. Keep them on the north side of your home and when you start seeing new growth, start to move them into the sun. I keep mine in one gal. pots until I see roots showing in the drain holes. Then I move them into their new home.
