We just ordered penny tile for our small bathroom and I like the look okay. However, if I had my way, we would have gone with larger format tile. I think it really helps to open up a room. I couldn't get the only large format tile I liked otherwise I would have done large.

We're remodeling our small hall bath, 5 X 7 plus a 28" X 48" shower. We have used 18 X 18 tiles with skinny grout lines on the main floor and pebbles on the floor in the shower. Looks really good!

We just completed a 5x8 Bathroom, 36" vanity and 30" x 60" alcove tub-shower and toilet. We used 6x 24 wood look tile plank. It was less than 30ft. We LOVE it!

I was considering mosaic style tile, but the cost is high and lots of grout-- probably not a great idea our budget bath. I like the idea of wood planks, but worry because the rest of our 1957 home has the original orange oak floors and the vanity in the bath will either be Ikea's Godmorgon in brown-black or walnut. I wanted large format (to eliminate grout) but am afraid they would have to cut down every other tile, since the floor area is so small and narrow. Thanks for the ideas!

The floor in my DD bathroom is a little wider than your but not as long, about 5'x6', so 30 sq. ft. Here's how 24x24 looks on her floor.

18x18 might look great in your space. Almost like a solid surface.

Have you seen the Costco floor tiles? My warehouse still has them in two colors.

Thanks everyone. After a lot of searching, I came across this 8" hex pattern tile. Thoughts? http://ragnousa.com/series/rewind. I am leaning towards the "polvere" which is a dark gray color.
