We would like to build in a dining booth in this space. The dilemma is that if we move the table in the corner to do this and redo the light fixture to center the table, the light will not be centered on the window. Is this is a huge design mistake?

Here are my questions?

1. Should we push the table in the corner for the booth idea or does the table need to be centered with the window? If in the corner, what do we do with the lighting?

2. Do we need a longer table to fill the space? And should it be a pedestal if you have benches?

3. Should we add painted brick to the wall just for fun?

4. On a side note, paint kitchen cabinets white? grey?
