They seem fine to me -- you don't want them too close or the space becomes too monochromatic. The tones here seem fine together. Onward to the next onslaught of concerns! :)

YOu have tone-on-tone match (orange/brown/reds) in both the cabs and the flooring. Photos of the counter top would be the next step...but you've already purchased. Other than selling the floor on craig's list, you probably can't send it back. Go with it. The tones appear to be the same (as you said, lighting is odd right now).

The thing that is throwing you off: the difference in grain patterns. The maple cabs have very minimal grain whereas the floors have heavy grain/dark grain. This is where you are second guessing yourself. Other than the grain, the colours are fine.
