I got this palm from craigslist a couple weeks ago and I'm not sure what shape it's in now. I watered it slightly when I first got but the leaves were brown already. But I think they're getting worse. I'm not sure if it's root rot - but if it is how should I go about saving the palm.

These frawns pulled out easily (they were mostly all brown). The photo below is of the ends that were in the soil:

Let me know if you think it's root rot or something else! I haven't watered the palm since I thought it might be root rot.
