HELP Safety switch Delima

relasing clutch or engaging mower deck kill engine on Craftsman LT1000 with Briggs And Stratton 17.5 HP Engine ohv
I have searched and done continuity checks and am ready to pull my hair out
I have been using tractor all summer with no issue
now i can only let it sit and run

most likely failed seat safety switch. Would try replacing with OEM part. Would not try just disconnecting or bypassing as most current machine switches are designed with an internal "bypass-defeating" feature...
