Thank you! The pool sits on a reinforced slab, which in turn sits on a set of reinforced piers that were drilled down to the level of the neighboring basement. The floor and walls of the enclosure are structurally independent of the pool and lap over its edges. The pump for the pool is located in adjacent garage space (the pump is relatively loud, and the noise proved to be difficult to control). The workings for the retractable cover are located at the far end of the pool; that platform under the windows is on rollers and can be slid open to access the crawlspace below.
