Bedroom layout revision + open floor plan living room adjustments

Currently working on a renovation plan. Apartment unit is
approximately 450 sqm. This will be for a family of 2 adults and 2
toddlers (+ maybe 1 one more).
Master bedroom: The room (minus the walkin closet) feels 'short' and very rectangular. What would you change while still including the walk-in space in the room somehow?
Family room: We've extended the entrance so there is empty space on
the side closer to the living room, which is good. Want your
thoughts in case I can better utilize this area with the current living
room area. Goal is to be open-plan, child-friendly, and utilize the big space in the middle of the house.
