My botany teacher instructed our class to take home and identify a leaf. She said some of them may be challenging, and I think mine may be challenging because it's one of the few that isn't a tree but is a bush instead. If it is a tree, my strongest guess is that it's a swamp white oak, but that doesn't look quite right. I wasn't given any fruit to help me identify. I'm not entirely sure if it's native to the Wyoming area because it came from the local botanic gardens which plants a large variety of both regional and foreign plants.
