the fruit starts to get color and size as it ripens. don't pick until the fig is drooping down from it's stem.

Thanks I have been waiting for these darn things to ripen for months. Do they sometimes never ripen? The suspense is killing me.

Change color (some varieties stay green) and droop down. Not much else to look for. Depending on the variety it could ripen very quick. At this point these should be "fig sized" already. If these are tiny you likely won't get figs this year or they won't fully ripen. I would taper back on the fertilizer if it is high N and you absolutely have to eat these figs.

It's a peters honey fig still no further progress. They look like they may be slightly softening but still sticking pretty much straight out. Most are fig sized, on the small side, but fully developed I think. Thanks the wait continues. I had totally cut off fertilizing like a month or so ago trying to encourage dormancy but they are all still green and fully leafed so I gave them a light feed today.

I'm in the same boat with my Peter's Honey! Watching them closely!

Still waiting on my PH's. How was it?

Pretty good actually! I wasn't expecting much considering how long they have been on the the plant but it was perfectly figgy. Probably could have been a bit juicier but I didn't want to let it get too soppy in my grow room.

A couple of the other small ones fell off unripenwd and I cut off a couple that looked under developed so maybe that helped ripen this one.

So I have 2 PHF and one massive Verns Brown Fig still to ripen. Figs in January- exciting!
