Butternut squash......straight cattle panel or arch?

I've decided to try to go vertical with my Waltham butternut squash next summer. Anyone make a cattle panel (16'x50") arch and grow this squash up it? Just wondering if that would be as good as (or better) than just, say, a 7'x6' straight up and down section of the cattle panel?
