question on Faucet size vs. sink size:

hi ALL: So we have a small kitchen we are remodeling: i have been eyeing faucets that people have left reviews saying they were "too big" for their sinks: Our sink is 21 inches. we have 18 inches of height up to cabinet. What constitutes too big? what is the suggested height of a faucett for our sink size? thank you!!! ( love those gooseneck ones)

i'd like to add that our cabinets are 18 inches from the countertop + ITS A SUPER SMALL Kitchen so we do need those cabinets.
