Purchased seed? Have you had it outside over the summer? It's great to see such a young plant flowering.

Here I thought a year Old plant would be a quick bloom. But at 8 months that's the fastest I've ever heard of, congratulations :) not sure what the parent looks like but that's beautiful markings with interesting color.

8 months is not that fast, though. ;-) I have seen adeniums flower at 4 months...

Martin, I do hear from people about seedlings blooming quite early.

Pagan, your seedling of M. Dimmitts (obesumxcrispum ?) bloomed earlier, did it not.

This seedling is from seed of "Excellent Lover" of Ko's. These results with blooms not matching pod parent, just remind us of the %'s of seed exhibiting the same characteristics of pod parent. This does not dissuade me, it makes it all the more interested.

When I see these results or lack there of. It makes my admiration for all of the Adenium hybridizers producing such beautiful blooms, Arabicums and TS. The number of hours and seed that they sow, just to hopefully produce a very special tree/bloom.

I've forgotten, Rick. I can check later--all I remember is that it was the first seed-grown adenium I have that has managed to bloom. It's actually still blooming right now.

That's excellent information on the provenances of your blooming seedling, though! I wonder what plant crossed with it. I really like the markings on that flower.
