Wider shutter on the bay and paint the strip under it to match shutter. Your door is a pretty color, but if you need to have a storm/screen door, get one that is all glass so your pretty door shows through. Cute house!

Clear door.

I would remove the shutter on the bay window it makes no sense to be there, most exterior doors now do not require a storm door if you like the screen get a phantom one and if you look at the right side window that turquoise works well with the house color so I would do that for a door color. Acouple of black urn planters at the bottom of the steps to connect to the shutters.

Cute and great curb appeal. I would add the black missing shutter to the right side of the bay window. You could leave the door color the color it is now but open it up by adding an all glass storm door in order to show off the color. What throws off the look are the bright white down spouts - we had ours painted the color of our house in order to blend them in. Three seems like overage. Is it possible to take out the one to the right of the bay window so your black shutter fits in there? If not. Add the black shutter under the down spout but blend it in by painting it the house color where it lays against the house and black where it lays against the shutter. If you want to change the door color- a dark wine color may look awesome.

Thanks we have tossing around painting them the same color as the house. We do need 3 live in the midwest and just to much water in the basement. (another huge project we had to tackle).

I also live in the Midwest and there are times it's just so nice to have the front doors and windows all open after a winter of having the furnace on. I would go with A screen/Glass door but get a large opening one that you can change out to screen in the summer. Good luck with addressing your basement issue. We have had that twice. One time we did the method where they only work from the inside, one time we did the method where they dug all around the house and worked from the outside and inside. The inside-only method was just as effective for us and cost half as much. Best of luck to you. Make sure you have a sump pump.
