Me again! Had a question regarding seating

Here is my living room. You can see there is nothing in front of the window couch. Our entry is right behind it. Should I leave it bare or add some chairs?

I dont quite understand when you say window couch?

You have a path between the window and the couch that backs the window? If so does the path lead anywhere like to another room?

I'm confused too. When you say in front of the window couch I see a small round table and an ottoman. I don't know how you would put chairs there.

Maybe she means facing the window couch on the other side of the coffee table?

I don't think you need to add chairs there, unless you need more seating, I like it this way. Looks great!

So sorry for the confusion. I meant what olychick had siad.

    Thanks Bonnie.

Why don't you move a couple of dining chairs there and live with it for a while, see if you like having that conversation circle. I think I would like a couple of lighter scale chairs there, maybe with wood arms? Not these necessarily, just an example:

I wouldnt put anything. Looks like you have lots of seating already. I dont like when the entrance to a room is blocked with furniture. You have a nice open welcoming look right now....less is more.

No, I think it would be too cluttered. It's lovely now!

I wouldn't add anything, but I'd pull the single chair you have in that corner in.

What a photograph! Really sharp. That room looks to-die-for at night!

Which one? The one in the far back corner or the larger one you can see in the front of the photo?

Here is a larger chair in that space. I have a smaller one but it just does not work. What do you think? Does it work? Should I move it around a bit?

I too like it just as it was. If you want to add a chair in the spot where you've put that chair, I'd prefer a smaller chair in a different color. The chair you've added seems out of proportion in size and too similar to the sofas in color. The spot is right though, just a different kind of fabric pulling some of the other colors in the room and smaller in scale. Beautiful room!

I guess I am gonna have to play with it a bit. Do not think hubby is ready for me to buy anything else just yet.

I would add an occasional chair easy to move around. It will complete the square and give you an extra seat w/company. I have a similar set up and like the look.

Do you have a pic bumblebeez?

Well, you need a place to get into the grouping, so leaving it open is fine.

doesn't work there, but I'd put it in the next corner, so that it is facing the joint where the two sofas meet and put a little side table next to it. Then that rounded chair would have to vamoose.

Btw, that Brainstorm Bronze is incredible, and I may just steal it from you and use it in my kitchen!
