If I remember correctly, Miele is a re-branded Saeco. I am on my 2nd Saeco. The first one lasted 15 years and the new one is just months old. I love my Saeco. We did look at the Jura, but didn't think it was value for $. We probably drink about 10+ cups per day between the 2 of us.

I believe you are correct. To me the big difference between the Jura and Saeco is the ability to remove and clean the brew group in the saeco. I can not imagine leaving the brew group in my espresso machine for years without cleaning. I do use cleaning tablets every week, but I also take the brew group out of my saeco every week and clean it throughly with hot water.
