WOndering if you can help with identifying this begonia

Thank you.

Also, it's very tall (and was just given to me). Are there ways of staking this plant and should I repot or do they like to have crammed roots? Thanks!

Looks a lot like Thurstonii.

I use those vinyl covered (probably hollow aluminum) stakes at Walmart or Home Depot varying from 2 feet to 8 feet. They have bamboo stakes as well but I find them splitting and rotting after a while. Buy twine, twist ties (in a 100 foot roll with cutter), Velcro, and plastic stretch tape.

You can repot if you want to - have a good draining soilless mix ready I find this one a bit fussy so I cut back on watering in winter and that has helped a lot.

Have fun and post a photo when you get it staked and repotted.

Hi there! When I searched google images I thought the leaves looked closest to Thurstonii too. Thanks for the tips and once it's all ready I'll snap a pic and share. Cheers.
