Is my phal done?

Hi all, Have a pretty little Phal that got some rot around the top of the crown where the leaves come out. Most of the leaves died off and I thought the plant was toast. Got the rot under control and a new leaf popped out about a month ago. Since then, it has put up a flower spike, but no more leaves. I'm wondering if I should cut off the flower spike, because the phal is obviously stressed and wait to see if more leaves come out? For that matter, will any more leaves come out now that the top of the crown is dead? Will they sprout from the side? Or grow a new crown from somewhere else? Thanks in advance!
