Wanted: lavender to repel scorpions

I'm looking for lavender, preferably plants, as I haven't had any luck starting seeds, though my seeds may have been old, so I'm willing to try starting them again too. We have lots of scorpions here including in our house and it turns out the only natural repellent I could find is lavender. I have found them in my toddlers bedroom in his toys and in my kitchen sink while I'm doing dishes, not to mention seeing them in the middle of the floor as I'm walking barefoot at night, and I just want them gone. I have a long trade list so check and see if I have anything you'd like!! Tia

It's just like how citronella repels mosquitoes, lavender repels scorpions. Lavender oil does help repel and I will be using it in the house. I'd like to plant lavender around the house, garden and my son's favorite places to play to hopefully keep the scorpions away altogether. I'd love any branches or seeds your willing to send! What a horrible problem to have! How does lavender help? I have a large plant I'd be happy to trim back and send you the trimmings to place around your house. I also have seeds I'd be glad to send to you. Is it plants growing in your yard that is said to repel the scorpions, or is the idea to take cuttings into the house to keep them out? Can you just purchase lavender oil or lavender sachets to do the trick? Let me know if you want any branches.

Currently, it is pouring rain. I'm supposed to leave for Iowa early tomorrow morning. I could take cuttings today, let them dry over the weekend, and stick them in the mail when I get back. I have no idea how much it costs to mail dried plants, but if you mail me $5 in stamps, I'll get one of those "mail anything that fits" boxes.

OK, I got to Iowa, but didn't get to trim the lavender. Party was today, and between 8 and 9 pm, I sent both my 13 year-old nephew and my mother-in-law to emergency with appendicitis and low blood pressure/chest pain respectively. I'm a physician, so they called me from their respective couches or beds, describing their symptoms. So, I went to examine them and sent them both off to emergency, based on severe symptoms. I think I dampened the mood slightly. But, it looks like we might be staying in Iowa an extra day or so. Just thought I'd warn you.

I'm so sorry!! I hope they are both better soon!! Also, I was looking for plands, cuttings I could root, or seeds. While dried cuttings could probably help, I can get those locally, and I'm looking more for long term. Thanks for the offer though!!
