Amaryllis Growing a Bulb... Didn't Go Dormant

Hi all,

I have an amaryllis that bloomed last winter, and hung out in my front yard all summer getting sun. I cut it back about four weeks ago, brought it in and stashed it in my basement, where it is unheated. I haven't watered it. Today I noticed it is growing a flower bulb. I thought it had to go dormant for a couple of months, but it seems I messed it up and the plant wants to bloom.

Should I leave it in the basement, or bring it out and let it bloom without any rest?

Thanks!
