      Just want to say that this vent works great in 8' ceilings. It is not recommended for ceilings over that. I order to mount it flush to the ceiling you will have to make sure the trusses in your home allow for flush mounting otherwise you will have to drop it down from the ceiling approx. 8 inches. The fan works amazingly well and the down lighting is great!

      My Best Cirrus ceiling fan is a bit over 36 inches in width. I have it over my 36 inch cooktop.
