Hi Kateef. Actually i like yellow. I just dont know what will compliment it.

I'd measure length width and depth, and find a framed painting, print photo or poster of something black and white with a splash of yellow, about 6 inches smaller than the niche all around, to make it look like the yellow is deliberate. You could even go to the second hand stores, find a painting, and add just a touch of the yellow.

Will they allow you to paint it (and the kitchen) if you put in your lease that you would repaint yellow before you move it? You could add pealable wallpaper on the inside and then add a larger mirror. You mentioned you liked it, but I think it overpowers the space - the deep grey on the cupboard would be so much nicer for example - more modern and less 60's...but it really is a personal preference.

Hi Maureen thank u, Actually i am ok with that touch of yellow. I am only looking for a certain wall decor or art to put on that yellow wall that will compliment it. My husband is quite skeptical about changing anything bec we will be living there for only a year.

Look on houzz or other sites for some cool andy wharhol prints or the like

A large mirror in a style that suits your taste or vibrant art. Then you could stick on a battery operated light on the frame, so it shines down.

You could try this route if paintings aren't your thing.
