I already have my kitchen design pinned down, but I am wondering if anyone has suggestions as to the actual cabinets, what kind of special cabinets are good to have, etc. The cabinets are being custom built locally, and I just want to best utilize all the cool organizational options that are available now!

We are a family of soon to be 6, 2 adults 4 kids. Planning to have informal meals (breakfast, lunch) at the island, and dinners in the dining room. I cook, but am not a chef by any stretch of the imagination. Just normal things. I like to bake. I do know that I want vertical storage for cookie sheets somewhere. I guess I am just looking for suggestions on organizing things like: every day dishes, baking pans, sauce pots, skillets, silverware, etc.

I believe the measurements are visible, but if you want me to type them out I would be happy to! Oh, the Island is 10ft by 46in. and will only have one side of cabinets, with overhang for the chairs on the other side. I had to draw it in because it was originally 9ft but the slabs I found were huge and I was able to stretch it to 10ft :-)
