looks relatively normal. the best you can do is put seams where they aren't in the middle of things -- they often put a break at the sink to minimize how much of it is visible, but obviously with a longer stretch of counter, another may be necessary. as long as it's flush vertically...

That seam isnt too bad. On our first white quartz job, it looked much worse than that one. After the first one, we've figured out a few tricks to make it look invisible. The reason why the seams turn out grey is because standard practice involves using razor blades to level out the seams. Because quartz is harder than stainless steel, the residue from the blades gets in the adhesive.

That seam isn't bad. Hit it with some white magic marker and repost the picture.

Try some acetone to see if you can remove any residual metal marks from the scrape job. Rub some white nail polish over them and wipe up the excess.

This is how seems usually look like on quartz countertops. If you can, remove the marks from the scrape job but make sure not to damage the stone.

Any thoughts on this? Small piece seamed in and the color is off from the rest.

Sorry for not being more clear. The point of placing a rigid straightedge over a seam is to see if the seamed pieces are on plane to each other. Out-of-plane pieces can't seam together well.

Does the straightedge rock? Is there a dip under it? A four-foot level is a good straightedge.
