Odd hummingbird

I live in Conroe, TX. All of our migrating hummingbirds left at the end of Sept except for a few stragglers. I saw this bird several times a day for a couple of days. I have never seen one like it. Can anyone tell me anything about it? Its horns seem to change from rounded to flared out like an antler. My pictures aren't t the best, sorry.
