When it comes to creative garden junk ideas, I can get sucked into Pinterest and not come out for an hour or more.

I hear that, arcy! The original GardenJunk forum was the best! I miss it too. I try to post here when I can just to keep it alive.

Does anyone else yearn to do that spiral rock mosaic stone walkway? I have a feeling that it would take me the rest of my life to finish, but that is just gorgeous.

"Yearn to do " HECK no...love to have ABSOLUTELY! Gosh that is just waaaaay too much work..just getting the rocks the size just right--gives me a headache thinking about it. There was a thread about garden art and price and how long it "should" last at what price point...well here is my issue always. If it is outside it has to be made of cement or metal..or it is not goign to last as long as I want it to. I don't deal with losses of garden art well. This mosaic..would fill with leaves, and sticks and weeds and ant hills and..well you get the idea...all that work for how long would it survive? But again, the idea was posted YEARS ago on GW...just sayin.

I like checking in to the garden junk forum to know I'm not alone with all kinds of crazy items out in our garden. Since I haven't been here long, some of the old ideas are new to me. I like the idea of making a mosaic planter out of an old tire rim. The pictures are interesting but they don't include instructions. Does anyone know the best material to use for the backer/grout since this will be outside?
