I attempted to Jumpstart old battery and observed smoke coming from solenoid area. This was while turning engine over. Engine will not turn over now. I have replaced battery and solenoid and am somewhat confident I have tested key switch correctly with multimeter. I need help please.

Seek professional help, and replace anything you have managed to burn out, with yer un-informed self-repair! A lot of folks buy those tools, and get them-selves into trouble, and causing more expense than they would have spent by having a professional repair man do the work! by: Rusty Jones
