Thanks, I'm worried that the granite installation may damage the sink...not sure if it's still available. Also do you know if the faucet is a kohler brand, I can't remember.

Do you have a granite color in mind, because if the top is all you're updating, I'm not sure the final outcome will be that different. I don't see you selecting a granite with any white in it, so basically you're looking at dark granite selections.

I would opt for an undermount sink and reuse the 8" widespread faucet set.

Thanks, I don't have a granite color in mind, I thought I would probably have to go dark but would like to "lighten" it up. The bathroom is opposite the kitchen/butlers pantry which has cranberry tan/brown granite. I like the idea of an undermount sink since I've heard that is more up to date. I can reuse the faucet but wasn't sure about the "gold"...but I've heard that is making a comeback! :)

The house is mostly traditional w some transitional. Since I'd like to update a bit, I think I will change the sink to undermount and keep the current faucets. Any thoughts on granite color?

Personally, I would change out the sink to an undermount because it will make cleaning easier since you won't have a "lip" to clean around. I think that the faucet could stay or go depending on if it compliments the rest of your décor. It looks like you do have brass towel bars and door knobs, so you could make it work.

For granite options, you could look into Kashmir Gold, Kashmir Cream, or a Bordeaux (Typhoon, Siena, Nettuno, etc.) if you want to go on the lighter side.
