Thank you so much for the responses. I did find replacement pieces on ebay and a few other places but I was stumped when it came to researching the history/background. The "registered USA" with "Japan" underneath aroused my curiosity. Also strange is that some of the plates have "USA"s with periods, some without. The whole world of China is new to me. The name of ot is celebrate 37….sometimes written ceb37…very diff to find this pattern…

I have this set with a few minor differences.

The center ring of flowers on the plates are gold on mine and mine also do NOT say USA.

I am also trying to find out info.

I have almost the same pattern. Mine says "Princess" and "Norumi"? "Occupied Japan" on the back.
