I love my engineered stone....have had it 2.5 years in the kitchen. It's Silestone in Lagoon, which is a subdued marble appearance. I love it, nothing but good things to say.

I recommend getting a very simple edge treatment....primarily for esthetic reasons.

We really like our Caesarstone counters. We have dark gray Raven on the perimeter cabinets and Misty Carrera on the island, both polished. They've withstood everything our kids throw at it. It's also very easy to clean using Murphy's oil soap or pledge. I would choose them again.

I too have Caesarstone benchtops, very happy with them. Only comment I would make is that I wouldn't get underbench sinks again, as over time you'll find little chips appearing around the edge of the sink cutout, from banging pots/heavy items. Also would (if I did it again) get sinks with draining areas on each side for stacking the "to be washed" dishes and draining the washed dishes. You'll get advice along the lines that... if you use a dishwasher then you don't need to be concerned about these issues but I disagree with that advice.
