Hello,

This is first post. I am building a new house and I am debating between two ideas around the kitchen island. I am attaching two pictures - the one with the blue markup is the original design and the one with the red markup is the updated one.

The original design had a 8'x5' island, with a 3.25' walkway, followed by a ~2' counter top as shown in the first photo. The updated idea is to have a single, long island about 13'x5', and doing away with the walkway in the middle.

I am torn between the two and would really appreciate some feedback between the two.
