I want to share my first experiences in selling plants.

1.) It is very important were you sell, for me, some markets do not work at all and some work better. Markets are very temperamental and dependant on the weather.

2.) I run a stall in front of a shop and this is the best for me, I make more money than at the market and it is much more predictable.

3.) People don't mind used, even half broken pots.

4.) I do herbs medicial and culinary and food plants, I need to provide a lot of information, good signs with names and key uses and even more information are crucial. I have to read a lot.

5.) People want variety, everything unusual, the more variety the better.

6.) It is easier to produce plants than to sell enough of them.

7.) Consistency is important, show always up at the same markets etc.
