Not quite dormant yet - can I pot these up?

Last year I grew 4 amaryllis. I cut off the flower and stem after it bloomed, kept it watered and cared for, then moved them outdoors in May. I fertilized these bulbs once or twice over the summer. Today , I dug them up. They are still not any bigger than they were last year, and some of the foliage is still green (but wilty). Should I put them in my 58 degee basement for a while? How long? In pots, or just bare? Should I cut the leaves off now? Do the leaves need to brown/dry up, or are they good to regrow now?

BTW, I have no idea what some of the forum writers are referring to as "amaryllis seeds", as I have NEVER let any of mine go to seed. Can you really propagate these seeds?????
