Awkward Laundry Room...ideas?

This is our laundry/ utility room. We will be getting a new washer dryer (on left ). But then in the back of the laundry room, we have that really awkward area where the room comes to a corner. The corner is deep. Any ideas of what to do in this area?

Additional information: the right side of the picture is essentially the end of the room.

You might want to buy one of the new full size stacking units . Maytag Maxima is a good choice. Then you have room for a small counter with wall cupboards for storage. A corner unit is a good choice in the oddball corner. An upper cupboard with a mirror door would add depth. You could place a shelf at table height on an angle and place a basket underneath on the angle also for shoes, dog leashes etc.

I would have a countertop made to fill the space and have cabinets below and above to hold not only laundry items, but more importantly gift wrapping supplies.

Yes, definitely some sort of storage unit or a drop zone if the laundry room leads to the garage.

I agree with putting a countertop there - we added one when we redid our laundry room and it is handy for folding laundry right as it comes out of the drier. And if you can put some cabinets above and/or below for storage - all the better. Good luck!

I don't think there is much room for storage of an kind there. So just make it look good.

Where do the doors go? Could you use a bit of storage pantry in the area - you can get one that's only 12 inches deep by putting two similar width upper cabinets on top of each other. I don't think you really need that whole area for door swing.

cabs and a counter top is appropriate... If you have pets... I have made an area to store a crate (I don't like to crate dogs myself!) I have made an area for dog food bowls and doggy beds... Perfect place out of the way!...

A kitty litter corner and storage can also work in such a setting.
