Wonderful job as usual, Beverly! They are both very nice, but the blue-green-and yellow quilt is really eye catching. I love how she mixed in stripes, checks, and prints in the design.

The colors in the floral one are actually much brighter. She sent these to me already sandwiched and pin basted. I took the sandwiches apart, sewed the pieced battings together before putting them in the frame.

I did the bindings on these, but do them on the machine. I used left over fabric from the backing for them. My arthritis in my hands makes it hard to do bindings by hand.

Love the quilting with the loops. Is it free motion on a long-arm?

Yes, it is free motion, and is one of my favorite things to do. I have a mid-arm (17 inches) that serves my purposes nicely.

meyerk9, I didn't make these tops, but here is how I do mine. I make the outside border 1/4 - 1/2 inch wider than I want it to finish so I don't worry if a bit gets cut off when I square it up after quilting. I cut my binding 2.5 inches wide, fold in half and press. Then I sew it to the back and fold to the front, mitering the corners as I go. I sew it down with a decorative stitch on my domestic machine.
