Sorry for the slow reply. The counter top is the same material as the cabinetry, Carob stained Riff Cut Ash. I wanted to make the cabinetry look like a "Blocks" from the living room so we used the Ash with a stainless steel sink top inlay. That's a piece of Marble across the kitchen.

I wondered through your idea book and really like your style, contemporary. I started designing in contemporary back in the early 80's. People thought I was weird putting in a High Gloss Red kitchen in the front window of my Studio. As it turns out that move has allowed me the opportunity to do work around from the East coast to Japan and Texas to Alaska. Cheerful regards, William
