What color/material are your floors? Is there any wainscoting?

You can't go wrong with creamy white.

Pale pink. Delicious with copper.

My flooring is Antique birch...brown with reddish highlights. Trim is BM cotton ball...so a hint of cream in it.

Well you already have a lot of gold tones with the copper and the gold couch, so I would try to go for a cooler wall color to make your pieces stand out. What are your favorite colors that go well with gold tones? I would do something similar to that greyish color in the flowers with a very small hint of lavender... mostly grey though.

I'd definitely recommend a lighter color especially with limited natural light. An off-white color could be perfect.

Definitely recommend a lighter color like pale gray or pale pink to offset some of the great accent pieces.

My curtains are similarly colored, and I have a new floor going in in a similar stain. My room faces north and I have dark cherry & mahogany furniture.

Working on paint color as I type this. I am leaning towards BM Gentle Cream for my walls. I'm not sure if that would be too dark for your room. I found the color through a designer blog who had suggestions for paint colors to warm up north facing rooms. Other recommendations from the article included Antique Yellow, Monroe Bisque & Powell Buff. Good luck, I hope your transformation is beautiful!

All the above colors mentioned are Benjamin Moore by the way.

I am using Antique yellow upstairs hall but after pondering all the great advice I think the grey green would work well. Thinking SW 6204 Sea Salt or Vintage cream...decisions decisions....lol
