Which is better, Scotsman or Hoshizaki?

I have had a manitowoc for 18 months, works great. bought it for the integrated filter and pump.

Scotsman has been making commercial ice machines since 1950. Quality product.

What kind of " better " are you looking for ?

Better price, better looks, clear ice, pellet ice, decorative panel or stainless or black or.....

Better in terms of do they have a service guy in your neighborhood ?

Better warranty ?

Easier to install better ?

Scotsman for a few reasons. First and foremost is service availability. Hoshizaki makes a solid product but they are small on the distribution side and don't have as large of a service network.
