That would seem unified enough to me.

They make sliding panels that fit over patio doors. One panel just slides over the top of the other. Not sure if you can do inside as well as outside mounts.

They look like this only you can get just 2 wide panels and I think they just have a pull rod to close them. I'm sure Home depot has them.

Have you thought about wood shutters? They offer great insulation and light control.

I would choose outside mount for a slider like yours. I like my curtain panels to completely clear the window--especially with a slider handle as a potential obstacle.. One panel would make opening and closing easier and if they are grommets--even better. I'd choose a black or oil-rubbed bronze rod to coordinate with your tv, fireplace,and stair railing.

As an added thought, if you go with fabric panels, I'd have a valance made to match for the window next to the slider. I'm doing a remodel and also have the same thing to consider with a slider and kitchen window to decorate and coordinate. Likely I'll do a roman shade for the kitchen window and use a matching fabric for the slider. It can be hard to find wide panels, so I've been considering finding a seamstress or taking my panels to the Asian tailor nearby and having them sewn together.

On the color that you have...this is personal preference but if you like your red pillows and ottoman, that color seems to clash with them. The curtains look like a warmer brick red, versus a true read. I see leather furniture and modern touches with a more vintage-style table. The curtains look pretty modern. Maybe a more subtle fabric that is transitional for the window treatment? Again, this is my opinion, but I like a pretty subtle fabric for windows, most of the time, unless the whole room is plain and I want the curtain to be the big eye-catcher in the room. You could do a more solid or small print but something with a shimmer and still get a nice effect. Also, having red in the curtain panel looks good. It is eye-catching.

Even though you might love the print on the ones in your photo, the print will disappear when the curtains are closed, and even when open, won't be super-noticable. You have to take your window width and at least double that for the total amount of fabric that you need, for typical window coverage.

I would look into programable remote window shades; I think Hunter Douglas designs them; it could be an option. Also window film will cut down on uva rays.

A lot of your decision will depend on whether you are after light reduction, complete privacy, etc. I've used fabric-lined woven blinds in chocolate brown, throughout my house and I love them. They are also made for sliders. We helped my sister install a full-size one for her slider and she likes it very much. If you choose "unlined", you get some light through the weave. You can go with a white lined one and get some light through but still keep the privacy. You can also choose a room-darkening shade and have full privacy day or night. This same thing applies to curtains and draperies.

Some manufacturers also have woven wood shades with independent liners so you can have an unlined shade during the day and then lower the room darkening liner for privacy or light control. Most Budget Blinds will have these, check with your local franchise.

If it was my place, I would put a Hunter Douglas top down cellular shade with ultraglide lift system, outside mount, above door. Next, I would fabricate 2 simple cornices, 8" tall, in the color of the accent wall and place these over the window shade and the slider. This would give a clean look and tie into the rest of the room.

I said about the same, except seeing red in your rug, etc.... I'd use your 'red' fabric if possible.
